What can I give you, with this distance in the middle,
being these two points revolving around a common nowhere,
floating along industrial lines, being led by blindind lights…
Let yourself float free and embrace your non-belonging,
feeling free to drift without expecting to return.
What’s this life we lead, expecting nothing? Knowing we cannot but watch the landscape fade,
I would like to have a place, to be expected, but the only place I have is me.
Hate to hear about not-caring narcissists, love to see when someone burns for something else,
but to know that flames are only an illussion, makes me fear freezing without end.
And this world keeps turning, and we play along.
And as long as everything stays so, everything will be alright.
Yet I know, for sure, so to remain just makes me feel weak,
if there is no chance to change, is it worth living at all?
All the change I see is but my own decay,
we are born to to know there’ll come an end…
Yet I feel through you that it is worth taking a chance,
floating along invisible lines, risking life,
expecting time to freeze.

After not doing it for almost ten years now, I will resume my project of writing. Writing what? No idea yet, doesn’t really matter. I decided I will do it in English, because at the moment I am not living in Mexico and don’t know if I will actually go back there sometime soon, and I would like to have people I get to know read this.
   It is just funny that I started writing again after speaking to my former woman, who, after having left me something like three days ago, just told me she had the first orgasm of her life, all by herself. I guess some things are just beyond our field of comprehension.
   Ok, good; in this period of my life I am a drifting exchange art student in Germany. I was in a Workshop today, from a Chinese film artist (Li Yifan) who showed us his incredible monumental preapocalyptic documentary film “Before the Flood”. He then proceeded to show us the work of his Chinese students, after which he asked us the reason why we decided to study art. This seemed like something quite natural, and almost all of the students there had their ideas about it. I just didn’t know anymore whether I had already forgotten all the ideas I had before I actually started doing it, or I never had them in the first place. I had the impression that everything I could actually think of wouldn’t even convince myself.
   I actually found that good. Not having a purpose, or a direction. I have already learned too much about the relationship between art, politics, reality, and overall intentions of transforming the world, to be able to actually think that the fact I do art can accomplish a true social purpose. This doesn’t mean I’m going to abandon my personal commitment, or that I am going to betray myself and all the close people I admire. On the contrary, It means I’m trying to be aware of what my existence and my actions really mean.
   One of the students, Clemens, a really smart guy (as far as I know) started talking about how he thinks that “a society that has a lot of artists is a rich society”. Of course! I then asked whether it was that a society is rich because it has a lot of artists, or that a society has a lot of artists because it is rich. Everybody laughed at my “hen or the egg” question. But what I actually intented to ask was political in nature. I then realized I had depicted myself as a hardcore materialist. Funny how we willingly create the image of our own person for others. Clemens then clarified that he was speaking about purely spiritual stuff. Li Yifan agreed with him.
